UmmPixies is where Paula turns her sketches into vibrant, colourful patterns and then into giftable homewares, stationery and accessories.

Fiercely practical, Paula knows the little things matter: strong straps, hanging loops, YKK zips and useful pockets...and the big things too: BCI certified, OEKO-tex cotton, recyclable packaging, non-polluting dyes.

Paula's love of bright colour was spotted early when aged 3 she was stunned into silence and stillness (both still rare events) by Matisse's The Snail

Always keen on adventure she spent a decade travelling the world as an archaeologist. Another decade was spent as an
event & project manager before returning to creating.

UmmPixies(pronounced oom – pixies) comes from the Arabic tradition of naming parents Umm-(mother) or Abu- (father) after their first-born child.

Our eldest had very pointy ears as a baby hence the nickname Pixie for them and UmmPixie for Paula.
